About the Library

Meet Mrs. Herrington's Monkey George
George the monkey

George likes the color yellow...
bakes chocolate chip cookies in the
middle of the night,...
and searches for the hidden jar of jelly beans.

Ask your child to tell you about his many adventures.

Library Policies
Students are allowed to check out 3 books per week.  Please bring your books in on library day every week to help us keep track of them.

Curriculum Resources
Students in the primary grades are scheduled to visit the library weekly.  They exchange books, are introduced to a variety of genres, and begin to explore library resources.

Older students also visit the library regularly.  With a flexible scheduling model, many visit weekly with their class.  Individuals and small groups are welcome daily and often spend additional time using reference material or enjoying recreational reading.
The Lothrop School library houses a professional section.  Parents as well as teachers are encouraged to borrow material from this area.
